The Wedding Contract That Broke an Alpha

His expression changed instantly.

“Respect?” He let out a short, mocking laugh. “Diana, do you really think you’re someone worthy of my respect? Let’s get one thing straight.” His gaze traveled over me slowly, like assessing merchandise. “If my father hadn’t forced me into this farce, I wouldn’t waste even a glance on a useless ornament like you.”

Gasps echoed across the room, but I didn’t flinch.

Then he raised his voice, addressing everyone present. “And don’t start thinking that once the wedding ends, you’ll automatically become Luna of the Moonshadow Pack. Don’t even dream of crawling into my bed without my permission.”

I looked at him steadily, my voice flat. “Since you clearly don’t want this marriage, why bother forcing yourself? Why not simply call it off?”

I was proposing the simplest, cleanest solution. For both of us.

But this self-important Alpha didn’t hear reason. He only heard challenge.

“Don’t try to play hard-to-get with me, you little manipulator.” He sneered. “Do you have any idea how many women in Los Angeles are begging for my attention?”

I couldn’t help it. I actually laughed.

“Alpha Logan, I don’t care who wants you. I’m simply stating that you and I are not a good match.” I brushed a loose curl behind my ear. “As for Alpha Jordan, I’ll speak to him myself. You don’t have to worry.”

The dressing room erupted instantly, filled with whispers.

“She’s insane,” someone hissed. “She just broke off a marriage with Alpha Logan!”
