Now fully extended, the snake’s body revealed the precise location of the bulge — a hard, immovable mass lodged near the upper portion of its abdomen. One worker immediately called the vet back and described what they saw.
The response on the other end of the line changed everything. The vet’s tone turned serious, even alarmed.
She explained that if the bulge were due to eggs, it would be located much farther down the snake’s body — closer to the tail. But since the bulge was near the stomach, it likely wasn’t pregnancy at all. Something large and unnatural was stuck inside — possibly something the snake had swallowed but couldn’t digest.
It was now a life-threatening emergency. The snake would likely need surgery right away if it had any hope of survival.
The workers asked the vet if she could come out and help them. Bringing the snake to her was impossible. But would she be able to reach them?
Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be easy. The vet didn’t know the exact location, and traffic was heavy at the time.

They contacted the warehouse and coordinated a meetup. The vet agreed to go there first.
At the warehouse, the situation was explained again in detail. A manager, clearly concerned, offered his personal off-road jeep to drive the vet directly into the rainforest.
The vet braced herself for a brutal ride — and she got one. Bouncing over muddy roads, swerving past fallen trees, and dodging wildlife, the journey was anything but easy.
Three hours passed in a blur of adrenaline, doubt, and focus. More than once, she questioned whether this mission was worth the sacrifice. She was spending an entire day on one animal — while others might need her help too. But something about this situation told her: this snake needed her.
